Recently, our competitors have announced new costly fees to maintain their operations. Amazon will no longer supply its Prime consumers with free grocery delivery through Amazon Fresh. Delivery fees for any order below $150 will now range from $3.95 to $9.95 with wait times up to six hours. The once convenient and widely used service will now go deeper into the pockets of their customers to maintain its daily deliveries. In addition to an increase in delivery fees, Amazon is cutting a large part of their work force by laying off over 18,000 (6%) workers. The increase in delivery cost along with the decrease in available workers has sparked a new wave of customer complaints - leaving once loyal consumers looking for alternative options.
